The Havant Borough Council Biodiversity Strategy provides a framework for action towards nature recovery. The strategy is used by the council to shape its own actions and to help guide others in protecting biodiversity and encouraging nature recovery.
I was tasked with creating a visual identity for the Biodiversity Strategy which reflected its contents and would make the strategy appealing and enjoyable to read, both for Council staff, as well as residents of the borough.
To do this, I created a modular theme based on the shape of leaves and a nature-inspired colour palette which could be adapted to create a variety of different, yet visually cohesive, layouts. This, combined with stylised illustrations and photographs of flora and fauna of the borough relevant to the content of the strategy, allowed for an eye-catching and exciting design, which invites the reader to learn more about Havant Borough Council's strategy towards biodiversity.
