Designs that resonate with the public and our stakeholders
"Jennie has made a real impact in how we communicate complex, lengthy, and sometimes (dare I say), unstimulating documents/strategies/policies, in to things that are visually compelling, engaging, easily digestible messages, and most importantly using her technical skill to make these documents fully accessible to WCAG (web content accessibility guidelines) standards, something we must adhere to as a public authority.

This includes our customer access and experience strategy, our biodiversity strategy, our climate change strategy and the Waterlooville SPD. The attention to detail is incredible and she has truly thought how a member of the public reading through these documents would navigate and consume to understand our key priorities and how these will be delivered. In essence, her job ensures our strategies don’t just exist on paper, but resonate with the public and our stakeholders through graphic design."

Her design work will leave its mark for years to come
"I would like to thank Jennie for her incredible work recently on a number of Place publications. Jennie is a temporary member of staff, however has quickly shown an incredible dedication to the work that she does and the importance that it has. Through her graphic design, she has a very direct impact on every function of the organisation and in a very public way - her work is literally how people view the Council.

The work in designing the Climate Change Strategy, the Biodiversity Strategy and the Waterlooville Masterplan are three very publicly prominent documents which are also very high on our members priorities and in the Corporate Strategy. Jennie has approached the design of these with a great deal of dedication. She has formed relationships with those putting together these strategies and worked to make sure that the design is a collaborative approach. Most importantly though, the design process has made sure that the documents really effectively put forward and make the points they need to in a very professional way. Throughout this, she has also worked with my team to get solutions in place, to find ways around the issues, availability of material and pick up errors in the original drafting.

"Jennie has helped me enormously with the production of the new Biodiversity Strategy. Taking a terribly formatted Word document, Jennie has produced - at short notice and with many other priority workloads to meet - a professional document that has added clarity and a good dose of sparkle to my work.

Jennie has been totally responsive to my deadlines and pedantic demands and has kept me informed of progress throughout. She has sought clarifications where needed - always politely and succinctly - and has responded clearly and quickly to any queries I have had: it has felt like she was an integral part of a wider team striving for delivery of a quality outcome that will benefit the Council, the wider community, and our partners. A report that impressed our funders
"Jennie was pivotal in the creation of our Get Up and Go end of year funding submission to Energise me. Jennie worked tirelessly to produce the report that I needed to impress our funders, Energise me (who contracted out Public health funding).

Strong branding for a key project
"Jennie has fitted in seamlessly to an extremely busy workload and ensured that the quality has been maintained in a vital part of what we do, namely graphic design.
With the design of our communications or documents being many resident’s first impression of the council, Jennie has ensured that the high standards have continued during her time covering a colleague’s maternity period.
Jennie was instantly a trusted and well-liked colleague within the team. I worked with Jennie from early in her time at the council and was hugely impressed by how quickly she picked everything up, how hard she worked and the high standard of the work she produced - the Active Wellbeing content was particularly brilliant, the brand was so strong for this key project and benefited hugely from Jennie’s hard work. Equally, her work on the climate and biodiversity strategies have given those key documents a professional yet engaging design that I think is fantastic.

"Jennie is a joy to work with delivering outstanding quality, to brief, and within tight timescales. She shows excellent listening skills, happy to help develop the idea further and produce designs that have exceeded my expectations. A worthwhile insight I’ve discovered working with Jennie, is that she has demonstrated a rather unique style to design work if given the flexibility to present her own concepts.
