The Havant Borough Council Data Use and Analytics Strategy document outlines the council's decisions and aims relating to how data will be used to make decisions, deliver services, and communicate with the public, in order to make informed choices that benefit the borough's residents. The target audience for the document included the public, borough residents, councillors, key stakeholders, and council staff.
My task was to design the document in a way that would make it understandable and accessible to people with different levels of data and analytics knowledge, as well as making it engaging and appealing to read, increasing engagement with the strategy. To achieve this aim, I used a combination of data-related imagery, diagrams, and pictograms to help illustrate concepts and create a visually stimulating design, whilst working within brand guidelines, ensuring that the strategy was recognisable as belonging to Havant Borough Council.
To ensure the strategy's message was able to reach as many people as possible, I created a WCAG AA compliant accessible version of the document which can be found on the Havant Borough Council website here:
