Ode to gold

Ode to Gold was created for my university Major Project, and is a dedication to fancy goldfish, exploring their history, symbolism, development, and cultural significance in their countries of origin of China and Japan. The project takes the form of a hand-made book, and accompanying goldfish lantern bookmarks inspired by traditional Japanese folk crafts, which light the reader’s way as they journey into the fascinating history of fancy goldfish. I was honoured to win the South West Design + Digital Student Awards in the Graphic Design categoy for this work.
