Sleeping their lives away?

Sleeping their lives away is an information design poster created to show the amount of time in years a variety of mammals across the activity pattern spectrum spend awake, in slow wave nondreaming sleep, and in paradoxical dreaming sleep in relation to their maximum lifespans. The design utilises pie charts in the shape of the different animals to which the data sets belong, combined with depictions of the sky to illustrate different sleeping and waking states in a visually attractive and informative way.
